i would love to be able to tell you what products were used on these two gorgeous ladies, but its been so long that i dont even remember, so this post isnt going to be very educational or informative…but the pictures are pretty and thats all that matters!
and if you missed fall ball this year, be sure to join us for our spring fling “spring is in the hair” party at luxe in the domain on friday mar 25th from 6-8. there will be a dj, live models, food, drinks and all around fabulousness. and i will be there, so in turn, YOU should be there!!!!

Brandi my Beach Babe!
Meet Brandi, another one of my lovely Luxe Ladies! With the sun finally coming out around here, Brandi caught a mighty nice tan this weekend (but you should still wear sun screen)
To enhance her sun kissed look i popped a little bit of Jane Iredale’s best bronzer ever (sunbeam quad) on the apples of her cheeks and a little bit of stila’s all over liquid shimmer on the highest part of her cheek bones.
On her eyes i used Bare Minerals loose shadow in vanilla sugar and desire. And of course a little stila carbon black smudge proof liner and convertible mascara.
To top it all off i made her take her braid out (which conveniently created the greatest waves!), and sprayed some Bumble&Bumble hair powder in white at her roots, coupled with a bit of surf spray and BAM! INSTANT BEACH BEAUTY!
Meet Jordan and Penny of LolaCola a self-described “glitter punk” band in Austin.
Keeping up GlamRocks good name, we decided to go with dramatic black eyes, heavy liner, and lots of metallic shades around the whole eye. Both of them had great faces for pulling off a lot of makeup which is good because they’ll both be onstage tonight at red7!
Anyways, i used mostly Stila products on both of them, but after an 11 hour day, i dont have the energy to list everything tonight. But fear not! For all you Stila enthusiasts, i will be doing a Stila post, featuring all my fave Stila products. Stay tuned.

Ohhhhhkay. I was browsing around the ever present internet today doing my thing, when i kept seeing Taylor Momsen and her heroin chic eyes EVERYWHERE!
In any case, I decided that two can play at that game.
Now, this look might be some what man repelling and scary (trust me i know), however, for some reason it spoke to me. Maybe its the whole “hey look at me, im a living dead girl” thing that got me. By no means should any one consider this an every day look, or even a practical sane look (cause i sure dont), but i was just havin a little fun on the dark side.
For this look I used:
- LORAC breakthrough performance foundation in light
- Paula Dorf concealing duo in Sand/Nude
- YSL eye shadow in plum
- Urban Decay eye shadow in Roach
- Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara in black on the lashes, and Mary Kay Classic Mascara in Black, smudged around the eye.
- Jane Iredale lipstick in Sophia.
This is Kim on her way to Winter Formal. Like most young girls her age, she had requested the ever-illusive “smoky eye” and a dramatic look, but i wanted to keep her skin glowy and dewy like a 17 year old should be.

Kims look:
Base
- Stila color correcting one step primer (this is an amazing primer for normal to dry skin types. its a triple helix of green pink and purple in the tube and mixes together to get the best correcting color)
- Stila illuminating foundation in 20 watts ( i am loving this foundation lately. It’s super sheer and light and sits on the skin nicely, and has light reflecting particles to give the skin that glow)
- Paula Dorf concealing duo in sand/nude (this duo is great for under eye concealing since it comes with two shades. it also has a ton of moisture to it, perfect for the eye area)
- Jane Iredale pure pressed powder in ivory (i really cant say enough about Jane Iredales pressed powders. They are hands down my favorite and a must have in your makeup bag. As a finishing powder, a foundation, or a concealer this powder can multi-task. Chances are, if Ive done your make up, Ive used this on you)
Cheeks
- Stila convertible cheek/lip color in gerbera (so using the same color on my cheeks and lips has always been a go to trick for me. I used to use straight lip stick (and still will in a pinch) on my cheeks, but since finding these stila cheek/lip combos, I am HOOKED! You just apply and blend with your finger. They come in the prettiest shades and are perrrrrfect for that glowy, dewy look i mentioned earlier)
- Stila all over liquid shimmer (another new fave product, i love to use this as a highlighter on the tops of the cheek bones, brow bone, down the nose and in the center of the chin and forehead.)
Eyes
- Stila eye color in eden and storm (stila makes great shadows. my fave of the moment is eden, a beautiful dusty pink color)
- Jane Iredale eye color in oyster
- Bare Escentuals big&bright pencil liner in black ( most blendable and smudgable auto-pencil ive ever used)
- Bare Escentuals Flawless definition mascara in espresso (amazing mascara, grabs and separates ever lash with its space age brush)
Lips
- Stila convertible cheek/lip color in gerbera
- Buxom lip polish by Bare Escentuals in katie
I was feelin sorta funky today, and decided to have some fun at work. This is Rachel as ColorBlock. I primed her whole face first with Jane Iredale’s ”absence” face primer in white (AHMAZING product!), then used stila eye shadows to block out the colors, and finished by filling in the lines with bare escentuals loose shadow in onyx and mixing it with liner sealer to create a dark defined line.
